Lady Gaga - Paparazzi

Artist: Lady Gaga
Album: The Fame (2008)

Paparazzi este ultimul single de pe albumul de debut al lui Lady Gaga, “The Fame”. E unul dintre cele mai apreciate hituri ale artistei, atat in randul fanilor, cat si in randul criticilor muzicali. Videoclipul beneficiaza de prezenta bad boy-ului din “True Blood”, Alexander Skarsgard.

Lyrics / Lady Gaga – Paparazzi

We are the crowd
We’re c-coming out
Got my flash on it’s true
Need that picture of you
It’s so magical
We’d be so fantastical

Leather and jeans
Your watch glamorous
Not sure what it means
But this photo of us
It don’t have a price
Ready for those flashing lights
‘Cause you know that baby I

I’m your biggest fan
I’ll follow you until you love me
Papa-paparazzi
Baby there’s no other superstar
You know that I’ll be your
Papa-paparazzi

Promise I’ll be kind
But I won’t stop until that boy is mine
Baby you’ll be famous
Chase you down until you love me
Papa-paparazzi

I’ll be your girl
Backstage at your show
Velvet ropes and guitars
Yeah cause you’ll know
I’m staring between the sets
Eyeliner and cigarettes

Shadow is burnt
Yellow dance and return
My lashes are dry
But with teardrops I cry
It don’t have a price
Loving you is cherry pie
‘Cause you know that baby I

I’m your biggest fan
I’ll follow you until you love me
Papa-paparazzi
Baby there’s no other superstar
You know that I’ll be your
Papa-paparazzi

Promise I’ll be kind
But I won’t stop until that boy is mine
Baby you’ll be famous
Chase you down until you love me
Papa-paparazzi

Real good
(We dance in the studio)
Snap, snapped
(That shit on the radio)

Don’t stop boy, rewind
We’ll blast it but we’ll still have fun!

I’m your biggest fan
I’ll follow you until you love me
Papa-paparazzi
Baby there’s no other superstar
You know that I’ll be your
Papa-paparazzi

Promise I’ll be kind
But I won’t stop until that boy is mine
Baby you’ll be famous
Chase you down until you love me
Papa-paparazzi

TESLA BOY - THE TESLA BOY EP (New Wave/SynthPop - Russia)

Russian trio Tesla Boy are a 80s-esque new wave / synthpop band formed in 2008 in Moscow. Often compared to Cut/Copy and other electro bands, they are the first Russian band to get real media attention since t.A.T.u. But the comparison stops there. Anton Sevidov (vocals/ keyboards), Dima Midborn (bass/vocals) and Boris Lifshits (drums) are three dedicated musicians with a mind of their own and a knack for good pop and powerful hooks. Tesla Boy – Electric Lady

“Electric Lady” is taken off Tesla Boy’s first self-titled EP, released in September 2009 on Mullet Records. In their EP, the boys show how well they know their classics (think 80’s synth sounds) and offer us a good collection of delightfully retro tracks. You can purchase the EP and other Tesla Boy music on

Tesla Boy also did a great job remixing “Nightdrive”, the track that got Anoraak flying the charts last year. Check it out!

SNSD's 3rd album has sold out over 100.000 copies

caramel corn!

we got some popping corn on the cob from one of the farms a couple weeks ago, which i LOVE. pop corn is a seriously under appreciated snack. first of all, it does not have to come in a bag or be made in the microwave. its healthier, more fun, and more delicious made on the stove top.

it doesn’t have to be complicated. the first batch i made with a little olive oil and salt. delish.

i was craving sweet and salty this time, so i decided to try to make caramel corn.

caramel corn:

1/2 – 1 cup popping corn
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup canola oil
salt

get a pot with a tight fitting lid. get the oil really hot. a good way to test it is to throw a kernel or two in the oil first, and once they pop, toss the rest in. when you put the corn in, add the brown sugar. and cover the pot. it’s VERY IMPORTANT not to let the contents sit still, or the sugar will burn, ruining everything and making a horrible mess. this means you’re gonna be shaking the pot for a few minutes, which tends to be noisy, so don’t do this in an apartment late at night or your neighbors might hate you. i used a (dry) kitchen towel to hold the lid on tight while i kept everything moving. when the popping slows to a halt, take it off the fire, pour into a bowl, and let cool. seriously, let it cool, i burnt the crap outta my lip with a molten piece. while it’s cooling, add a little salt, and stir it a couple times to break up the clumps. voila, delicious caramel corn.

Marina

You’re probably well aware of Marina and The Diamonds – but just in case, here’s a taster.

She’s a Welsh/Greek songstress who is, quite frankly awesome. Her full album is out next week but can currently be previewed at Myspace

She came 2nd in the BBC ‘Artists to watch in 2010′ – but I think she should be 1st. I’m gutted I don’t have tickets to see her… One to watch, methinks.

(She’s also hot, but that’s a bonus)
